Frequently asked questions

Where is Fondion’s office located?

Our office is located in Espoo, Finland. You can work from anywhere in Finland. Currently, our engineering team prefers to work 1-2 days a week at the office. We find face-to-face communication valuable at this stage when we’re building a lot of things together!

Is it required to know Finnish?

In the in-house engineering team, Finnish skills are not required. English is our internal communication language. However, in sales positions Finnish skills are currently required as many of our customers are used to getting served in Finnish.

What kind of a team is there at Fondion?

Our team consists of a skilled founder team with a strong industry experience and knowledge. In fact, the business idea for Fondion’s product is based on their many years of experience in working with the same topics that our customers are working with today. This is a solid ground for founding a successful B2B SaaS business.

We are aiming to grow our in-house core engineering team into a team of 6 people that will be the go-to experts when it comes to the technical development of our product. Our engineering team is currently led by our Tech Lead Kimi.

In total, we’re a team of 30 people soon – skilled engineers, customer success experts, product specialists and sales representatives.

How is the construction industry economically doing at the moment?

Times are tough in the construction industry, they say. As you might now, Fondion is currently specialized in solving the problems of companies in the construction industry. Many of our potential future colleagues might be wondering this and hesitating to apply for open positions! However, we are growing our in-house core teams strongly at the moment.

What is interesting about Fondion's SaaS product is that it offers mechanisms for financial management and profitability for companies in the construction industry. In times like these, these tools become more important than ever. Fondion’s ARR (annual recurring revenue) is growing steadily, and so are many of our customers!

We are also working towards becoming sector independent and growing internationally.
